In 1962, the Matthews family opened a petrol station in Ulladulla that included delivering fuel up and down the coast for the surrounding towns. It was this sense of giving to the community that built a solid reputation for the business and our family from the beginning.

Offering vehicle servicing and maintenance in the workshop, we expanded our services to lawn mowers, gardening equipment and chainsaws and business boomed. Seeing the need for a dedicated mower and gardening service centre in the region, we eventually sold the petrol station and established ourselves as Ulladulla’s premier mower service provider.

We have been trading as Ken Matthews Auto & Mower Centre for more than 55 years and we are still owned and operated by the Matthews family. Currently run by proud founders, Ken and Elaine Matthews along with their 2 sons, Glenn and Craig and daughter-in-law Kim, we also have 5 more highly trained employees on our books to round out our busy team.

We operate 7 days a week and are truly a community-based company. We go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction whether you need a spare part for you car or full service for your ride-on mower. We have fast turn around times and are very affordable. We know that your time is important and we have the skill set, knowledge and combined industry experience to get your job done fast and stress free.
